Amy Julia is available on a limited basis for speaking events. She has spoken in a variety of venues, everything from private homes for book readings and signings, to Grand Rounds at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, to the New England Hospice and Palliative Care Association Conference, to an adult Sunday School class, to a bioethics class, to a high school English class, to a Women and Spirituality Retreat. She preaches, teaches, and lectures on topics similar to what she writes about: the intersection of grief and hope, human flourishing and disability. Some recent topics have included, “How do I speak to my children about disability?”; “The Reality of Hope”; “The Patient as a Person”; and “The Ethics of Prenatal Testing.”
